This is Rosenbauer's glass crew cab, similar to the Ziegler "Z-cab". An increasingly popular trend in Germany.

A minor detail. The Rosenbauer N25 pump is rated by the manufacturer at 2, 500 LPM @ 10 AT, hence the name. But it can flow 3, 500 LPM at lower pressures.

This is not a rescue pumper, but it is a volunteer fire department rig. Unlike full-time fire stations, which often have only one or two pumpers, many volunteer stations have a wide variety of pumpers and rescue rigs at one station, and these can therefore be more specialized. Responding volunteers man whatever units the call indicates may be needed.

Thanks for the comprehensive listing of all the gear carried on this truck. Some of our American friends have expressed surprise at how much equipment can be stuffed into these comparatively small European rigs, and your series of "opened-up" photos of this truck beautifully demonstrates how this is done!

Hi Rob
Glad you like it, yes this is specialized fire fighting appliance carries no hydraulic rescue equipment.
The Ff Kirchohsen also has a rescue pump (picture 23146) and an emergency tender (picture 22960) so there is no need to have a third set of rescue equipment at our station.
