TCR 354T did spend most of it's life at Chichester, but was new to Bognor in 1979 (replacing ERF SS85 LBP773J which moved to Worthing). It moved to Chichester in the mid 80s, I'd be grateful for an exact date if anyone could supply please. I'd suggest that lovely picture was taken at Bognor Regis, judging by the up and over folding appliance bay doors and F44 GBP446H alongside.

Jon I have it moving to Chichester 1984, the first shout I attended in it was at 1557pm 23/1/84 King Edward V11 Hospital, Fernhurst on Midhurst Ground, the Hospital was a High Risk, old building with very limited water supplies an attracted a PDA of 4 pumps, HP, Breathing Apparattus Control Unit, Water Carrier and L4T to get a Portable Pump to an Open Water Supply with difficult access, personnel selected for HP training, which in my section was Leading Fireman and drivers went to Bognor and trained there prior to its transfer, i previously was trained on a SS85 LBP 773J prior to its transfer. The above picture is taken on Bognor regis F.S Forecourt.
Thanks Martin, I thought it was around about then..obviously very early in 1984. I remember King Edward V11 hospital, I used to go and visit my Grandfather when he was there for treatment when I was quite young..I understand it's had rather a transformation these days with the conversion to smart homes & flats. Thanks for the PDA info ..was that the water carrier from Littlehampton or a Hampshire/Surrey one?..quite a journey from Littlehampton. Jon

Jon, yes Littlehampton, 2 X Pumps & L4T Midhurst, 1 X Pump Petworth, 1 X Pump Liphook(HFS)if I remember correctly, HP & BACU Chichester, attendance from two Fire Authorities and Five Stations.
Thanks, you never came over on the Main Scheme Radio, and we usually got turned back on the HP/BACU before we got there, i do believe the other pumps are correct.
