Hope you like it Pete. Taken at Bray, County Wicklow HQ in 2003. Still there as far as I am aware. New Atego/IDT 01WW277, ex Essex Dennis RS 85WW1001 and spares taken as well. ET based at Arklow was ex London FB Merc LRU. Graystones had Scania WrC but as retained I had to forgo the pleasure as no one turned up at the time. Chances we take.

Thanks Andrew.Do we know whether this is the one from 1979(reg-TCR354T)that went to the stations of Bognor/Chichester?,or is it the other from 1982(reg-FPO23X)that served its time at Horsham?.Its not that important,but thought I'd ask.Pete.

FPO 23X. Missed out on FPO 24X. Turned up at Chi workshops where I was told she was and lo and behold, back at Shoreham. Ah well, can't win them all.

Andy,FPO23X was Horshams HP,the 1982 Dennis Delta 2/Dennis/Simon SS220.FPO24X was Shorehams 1982 Dennis DF133/Dennis Waterbird FOT(Foam Tender).

Does anyone know if this appliance replaced an ex- London Fire Brigade AEC Mercury/Merryweather TL, at Bray?

To my eyes, this series with the "farm gate" grille treatment look so much better when it is painted red to match the bodywork, like this, instead of the more common silver paint.
