Frankfurt - population 785,000 - has twelve full time and twenty eight volunteer fire stations, organized into four divisions.

The fleet includes 28 full time and 57 volunteer manned pumpers of various types and capacities. There are 12 aerials, all based at full time stations.

picture 117 on this site depicts one of the older Atego rescue pumpers in the Frankfurt fleet, which have now been replaced and are assigned to some of the volunteer stations. Both they are their replacements have 2000 LPM pumps and 1600 litre tanks.

The predecessor to this TTLis exemplified on this site in picture 115. The short wheelbase chassis with a rear steering axle was already specified back in 2005.
