This series, introduced in 1963, replaced the chassis depicted on this site in picture 42502. The overall firefighting capacities and equipment remained unchanged. This example was a 4X4 11 ton chassis with a 130 BHP diesel engine, which was also used for LF16 pumpers, and 13 ton versions were also very often used as TTLs with 25 or 30 meter Metz ladders.

The 16 and 19 ton versions with 190 and higher BHP engines were also used as water tenders with 5000 and larger tanks, foam pumps and various specials, while 22 ton tandem axle chassis were also to be found for heavy duty applications such as airport crash tenders, high capacity tankers and 44 metre ladders.
