London Fire Brigade started with the demountable pod system in the mid 1980's, so this appliance was proberly replaced by a Prime Mover and at least 2 Hose Layer Pods, BA Major Incident Pod, Foam Pod, Salvage Tender pod. In other words one multi purpose vehicle replaced 4 specials.
Thanks Chris. The switch to pods makes a lot od sense, even though London was sround a decade behind most European cities im making the change.
London used to carry 3.5 inch (89mm)hose on their HLLs. Do we know if the pods are similarly equipped? The reason I ask is that most other countries load either 110mm or 125mm on their LDH pods.
