Does anyone know how the center aisle hose load was repacked?
This looks as if it could carry a much larger load of hoses, given the height of the body. Does this photo represent how it was typically loaded operationally, or is it half empty?
Finally , did London continue to use only 3.5 inch hose on it's HLL at this time, or a larger diameter like 4 or 5 inch?
Some former London hands must know these things!

Looking at the photo the middle walkway is filled with standard rolled hose. these may have been kept as spares to replace any bursts. the weight of the hose would also limit the amount carried.

This appliance resurfaced this summer and is still in good nick. It was auctioned off at Weedon along with an F106. I believe it is now in Scotland...can anyone enlighten?
London used 3.5 inch hose on all its HLL's until recently, they also carried some spare rolled lengths, ground monitors etc.
