dear sirs this is not a carmichael vehicle but a chubbfire C44 Protector built for exeter airport I tested this vehicle when I worked for chubb yes it was the one on top gear

Did Carmichael refurb it or build a new cab. Cab looks odd?
JOD905N for searching - No other Protector I can find has this flat fronted cab. I suspect a rebuild. It clearly is badged Carmichael even if they were not responsible for the original vehicle build.
Checking again C44 (see post above 25/06/2014) is a designation of a Unipower chassis introduced in 1974. archive.commercialmotor.com/article/27th-september-1974/43/truck-engineering-gets-more
So Unipower C44/Chubb RIV. I think it was later designated the Unipower RE4 and they had a weird reverse rake front. There was also a RE6 (6x6)
