One of fourteen Unipower RE4D crash tenders built for the Royal New Zealand Air Force by Mills Tui between 1985 & 86, this 1986 example served at both Ohakea & Whenuapai air force bases. It is now one of a fleet of four identical appliances based at Dunedin airport. All are due for replacement in 2014 by newer Austral Trident appliances from Wellington airport.
