Assuming Northwich has only ever had one F12 I remember this as a new machine. It replaced an Austin K3 ECU with a Barton pump (classed as a PE light). The F12 was a PE major. As an aside the Type A water tenders were water tenders whilst in the early days the Type Bs were known as pump water tenders. How is that for historical trivia?!
Ha ha very good to find out some more infomation about this machine. Im not sure how the ELR managed to get it in the first place. But im a member of the ELR Pway Gang and we helped shift this whilst the museum was being renovated. There is also a chassis for another fire engine complete with pump and engine but no body work.
