Bedford Magirus Turntable Ladder

I visited a friends farm at the weekend and found several old appliances. This is the front of a Bedford Morris Magirus TL awaiting her turn to be restored, she was new to Birmingham Fire Brigade and served at HQ Corporation Street

I have today been organising a farm machinery sale near Basingstoke, Hampshre. We have come across a 1967 Bedford Fire Engine (Reg No.: COR 297C) in need of restoration. Would anybody be interested. Please email for picture

Bedford aficionados: come up on this one ! It would be great to follow "The Save".

Marcel(s) - surely it would be OK for Fergus to post the picture here. While it has a commercial purpose; it is for a worthy cause "Save a Bedford Fire-Engine"......

These were also operated by Kent, and I saw one in attendance at a chimney fire in Margate in or around 1963. It was not deployed, but still turned up...

The cab design was the inspiration for a Dinky Supertoys model TTL to go with their York Commer Carmichael water tender, although for some reason the model has what looks more like a Metz mechanical ladder than the real life Magirus hydraulic.
