Whilst I obviously hope this shot will be of interest, in hindsight the "recent comment" to which I refer above, had actually been on another group !

Ian,thanks again with coming up with yet another brilliant classic appliance from your collection. I've always had alot of interest in the appliances that were liveried in the yellow from that period but were used by so few brigades here in the UK.
Ian, I don't think there can be many, if any of your photos that wouldn't be of interest, especially from this period. Whilst I appreciate this forum is not a request show, I have to ask if you ever paid a visit to Huddersfield during the 1960s? I have an interest in their Dennis F7 PE, EVH 680 which has been in my family for a number of years awaiting restoration. Sadly, I do not possess any of the items necessary to post a current picture.

Compared to picture 14668 which shows how the ET ended up...a great shame.
Hi Glenn, great to hear from you, will be in touch. To Marcel, not only is this an excellent fire site, it also reunites people! Thank you.

I'm in the process of making a model of this Bedford Emergency Tender(and other York appliances),and having seen another photo (picture 14668)of it I can see the ladder is housed on a movable wheeled gantry which must have lowered down the back of the vehicle so the ladder could be removed.Does anyone have a picture showing rear of this vehicle or similar to show the workings please.Thankyou Pete.
This picture brings back many memories, sadly mostly traumatic as I have turned out on this vehicle many times to incidents when I was based at york fire station, thanks for posting the pic' great to see the appliance in all its glory!
