Weiterstadt, with a population of around 26, 000, is protected by a volunteer fire department with four fire stations.

Although the LF 16/12 specification calls for a 1600 LPM rated pump and a 1200 liter water tank, many fire companies - like this one - have units built for them with either more powerful pumps and/or larger tanks...
