Great photo.
The design makes for a "Tall" rig - interesting to see the protective guards on the cab-roof Emergency Lights.
It must be a little tight, driving in the Medieval Town-Centres.
Really enjoy this 'Site of yours and Marcel's.

The "tall" design is intended to get the maximum storage capacity on a very short wheelbase and rather narrow chassis. The red painted lower locker covers swing down to make steps, the side and rear storage lockers have slide-out and fold-down shelves to make access easier, and the roof rack for ground ladders and suction hoses is also powered. Many German departments also mount two one-man hose carts at the rear, each holding 200 meters of 70 mm pre-connected hose for hand line or hydrant hookup.

This is one of two identical units acquired at the same time, the third pump being a MAN. The company operates out of four stations, with 87 unpaid volunteers including 11 female firefighters.

Protecting this town of 25, 000, they respond to around 200 incidents a year. In addition to the three pumpers, they operate a 23-12 aerial truck, an equipment truck, a command van, a personnel carrier, an ATV, a front end loader and two pod carriers with four pods....
