Rather unusual pumper on Unimog off road chassis, with large crew cab and ladders for structure firefighting. The front mounted 800 LPM pump location maximizes space for the water tank and equipment-which probably includes a second portable pump.
Most Unimogs serve as brush pumpers, which is a role they fill very well as a result of their exceptional off road capabilities, but they are much less frequently designed for structural fires fighting like this example. They have been exported for firefighting duties to literally more than a hundred countries.
I purchased this vehicle in December 2025 to convert to an overland camper. From new in 1987 it had covered less than 18k miles in 38 years of service.
