Good photo John, I seem to remember that the York appliances use an unusual two tone come wailing siren, quite head turning, is this still the case?

Yes, these two appliances are still fitted with this siren, it 1st appeared on the 54 plate appliance, but not fitted to the 52 plate ALP based at York.
