1980 FORD A SERIES/GT ATTACK LIGHT WATER TENDER
EX PATTERDALE RETAINED STATION( 3-4 CALLS PER YEAR!!)CUMBRIA COUNTY
Bought by Perkins Diesel for its Peterborough site in 1994, replaced by the two Renaults in 2004
150 gallon water tank 500 gall per min h/low pressure fire pump, twin high pressure hose reels.
This is a low weight vehicle and can be driven by a Driver on a normal Car license unlike most fire appliances where a HEAVY GOOD VEHICLE LICENCE IS REQUIRED.PATTERDALE is a small village because of the time it takes to reach the village by supporting stations the time is outside the attendance requirements that are laid down for a fire tender to be able to reach Patterdale, this is why a Station is at Patterdale.

This is identical to EPY108V in the Cleveland County Fire Brigade fleet.

I served on this old girl at Patterdale and the we averaged 20 calls a year not 3 to 4. Where it has been know a call has lasted over 24 hrs pumping in 89. She is up for sale again

the number of calls per year came from the appliance Logbook that we had and the calls were all listed usualy AFA's to Glenridding, also Cumbria records, Perkins sold her out of service a few years ago to two local retained firefighters who have resold on to a Museum, but it was a nice little appliance

Petrol Engine V6 we had the heads changed for unleaded fuel.
