This odd-looking cab provides for a central rear-facing indoor pump control panel. This gives the pump operator a perch which offers good visibility of the incident scene, and gets him or her out of the traffic and out of the weather too. It is offered as an option by most pumper manufacturers, but does not seem to be too popular. It does cost extra!
