Sorrento Fire Brigade. This rather battered Iveco pump turned out to an AFA at an apartment block. The crew said that all the new appliances went to Naples and they had the ‘left overs’!

Murray, its good to see a battered old Iveco pump from Italy. There are very few pictures on the site at the moment from that country so its something a little different.Thanks.

You are right Peter, hopefully we will get more Italian fire engines on our website.... I certainly like these photos. Thank you Murray !!

A rather elderly OM light pumper. Very practical small rig, found in most Italian urban areas with their ancient narrow streets. I last saw an identical unit in Bologna in or around 2013. It too was looking quite a bit the worse for wear....

Like many other European fire services, the Vigili usually send only one pumper to an AFA, often with a reduced crew, or sometimes only a Land Rover or even a small van.
