How many litres does this hold?

Added by RUDI on 18 May 2008.
Rudi:

Similar four axle tankers in everyday use in France hold 13, 000 liters, but this 32 ton Actros might go up to 16, 000 or even more - depending on what else it is carrying.

High capacity tankers are very common in Portugal. A lot of older hydrant systems are built into buildings' walls, and supplied as a result by a rather small diameter water pipe. This often provides a rather limited flow of water. So the fire services make it a priority to bring a big tanker with them!
