1918 Model T Ford/Howe fire engine
1918 Model T Ford/Howe fire engine with a 350gpm trible piston pump was origanally built for the U.S.Army in 1918,then was sold in 1920 to the Germanstown Volunteer Fire Dept in Illinois.
The Hall of Flame Fire Museum located in Phoenix,Arizona has almost an acre of fire history exhibits,with over 90 fully restored fire fighting pieces of apparatus on display dating from as far back as 1725 up to 1969.Its well worth a visit.

On my most recent visit, I found only one British appliance on display, a 1967 Nottinghamshire ERF water tender escape with a Merryweather ladder. There is also a 1913 Merryweather pump, but it was originally supplied to Lima, Peru.
I am hoping to improve on this, but it is a time-consuming business.
If any UK collector has anything they think might be a suitable candidate for the Hall of Flame, please let me know. Despite its size, the museum has limited space, so it would have to be an essentially characteristic example of British design, in very good condition and preferably as original as possible.
We are also looking at other European apparatus which are not represented, mainly through other channels.

Ford
I can make out the hand-cranked siren on the dash-board; and a brass gong by Driver's foot - and unless you count the 2 oil lanterns on their hooks - that's it for Emergency Warning equipment.
Henry Ford's "Tin Lizzie" was a cheap and cheerful way, for many Fire Departments to go motorized; or even to get their first apparatus.
If your Travel Budget won't permit you to get to Phoenix, Arizona: there is quite a web-site, if you type in "Hall of Flame Phoenix" on your Search Engine/"Google", of all these wonderful Fire Engines.
