Fire Engines Photos

This is a BAS-II släck/räddningsbil (rescue pumper, Swedish standard BAS-2), built in 2003 on a Scania P114GB-chassis, with 340 HP engine and CP28 CrewCab. Bodywork by ARS (= Autokaross Rescue Systems). It has a Ruberg-pump with 3, 000 lpm. When new it was placed at the Ängered fire station in Gothenburg as rescue pumper 451. Since around 2006 this vehicle is placed at the Lundby fire station as their 471.

Does this rescue tender carry EMS equipment? Just wondering, because the EMS symbol "the Star of Life" is painted on one of the shutters.

Hi Tiger!It´s correct about! They have EMS equipment onboard!In Stockholm (province Stockholm) is the rescue-pumpers also have EMS equipment, they respond to SALS-calls.SALSA=Saving Lives In Stockholm Area. They has saved a several persons who had heartattacs!!
