Fire Engines Photos

I was reding in a book entiltled THE FIRE BRIGADE HAND BOOK published April 2007, in thr section for east sussex fire and cescue service, next to a picture of a Volvo FLH witha JDC body work, that 'Due to an incident last year ?2006?, there are imminent changes to several of the appliances in this brigades fleet'

Can anyone recall or have any information as to what the 'incident'was or the changes to the fleet and/or reasons for the changes other thann just changes to the fleet just due to age etc?
Any info would be gratefuly recieved! Paul.

yes mate the firework factory fire which killed 2 colleques and wrote of 10 trucks

9 Pumps/3 Specials and 9 cars written off.

This appliance has now since left Pevensey and is currently the second away at the day crewed station at Crowborough in the north of the county.

In the UK you seem to have a lot of fire trucks built by Volvo. For us French it's very exotic because these trucks are very rare in France.
