Thanks for giving us this information of a most unusual fire fighting department
in a most challenging environment to mine for industrial diamonds.

Pavel,

Thanks for posting this lot of the Argyle mining emergency service.
Is the Inter x CFA or so, or new to them? Can you please give me the numberplates of all 3 of the vehicles?

Cheers,
Frank

Bob and Frank thanks for your comments. Frank, the Inter has a Wormald Australia badge on the front so I presume it was manufactured by them. I believe it was purpose-built to Argyle Diamond spec's as they wanted reliable equipment capable of handling an aircraft emergency at their airport, due to the high volumn of passenger traffic with the fly-in/fly-out staffing from Perth. Registration on her is 9AF 972, and on the Merc, 7BR 501. The Isuzu would appear to be a 'Fire & Emergency Services Authority of Western Australia' 3-4 tanker, that is, 3000l's and 4x4 drive. They were an extremely reliable vehicle mainly used for bush fire fighting. Most of these have been replaced now, so I am unaware whether this vehicle was purchased ex FESA. I will email Lincoln who kindly supplied the photos and see if he can clarify for you and also obtain the reg plate. Warm regards, , , ,
