This is a 1956 Chevrolet 4400 P 55 with a Kronenburg bodywork. Since 2003 is the Volunteer Fire brigade Haren (The Netherland) the owner of this Fire engine.
Another great example of one of the scores of 1950s European fire trucks built on American chassis, which were commonplace in Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and Finland.
This one does not appear to have the usual long suction hoses on the roof, which were typical of Dutch pumpers, so it may be an equipment squad truck - which used to be a rather common type running alongside pumpers and aerials, and serving as an early generation of rescue truck or emergency tender.
