I would say there is a very good chance this was a New Zealand medium pumper with body manufactured by Wormalds NZ. I believe there were very few with that amount of white paint, I don't know whether that was a particular District colour or just some sort of fad the NZFS was going through at the time. The barlight was not in use on this type of appliance at that time, it would have had two red lens Hella revolving lamps. Perhaps 'AllFiredUp' or John Walker may assist, , , , Could this be registration FW 4556 ex Christchurch?
Don't know anything about this one Pavel but yes it is a New Zealand vehicle. This class of appliance was built in great numbers on either Bedford or Ford chassis by either Wormalds or Protectus......But real Fords had V8 engines and chrome bonnets !!
John Walker, no one outside of 'The Land Of The Long White Cloud' would have a clue what you are referring to there Bro, my earliest memories are of Henderson's Ford V8 pumper and American Quad tanker!! Do you think you can enlighten these people on what a real fire engine looked like in the good old days, , , , ?!
