Start of the Rally season in England with SNOWIt is the Easter weekend in England, with both Friday and Monday being 'bank holiday' days. It is the start of the rally season with the first event of the year being a vintage vehicle rally at Kirkby Stephen a village on the main A66 road which crosses from one side of England to the other.
Naturally heavy snow started falling on Friday and the A66 was blocked with snow drifts on both Saturday and Sunday. Even my sheds which are in a sheltered spot did not escape the snow. Temperatures were hovering around freezing but the wind made it feel even colder.
I started heading for Kirkby Stephen but it was just so bitterly cold on the open Dennis shown above, I had to turn around and head for somewhere more local (but not much warmer).
