Dennis F44 No 405 Fire Engine Australia left

We have purchased a Dennis F44 No 405 and have recently began to restore our engine and would like some information & history of the fire engine. We believe it was originally stationed at Newcastle or Sydney Australia and we would appreciate any assistance. Does anyone have comments about this Dennis. Can anyone also tell me how you refer to the fire engines are they a him or a her?

Steve! I'm answering my own earlier query here but, mate, I believe the wooden extension ladder atop the appliance is stowed up-side-down!! What's happened to all our so-called, true blue, Dennis fanatics, didn't anyone pick up on Steve's deliberate set-up!!??
