New South Wales Fire Brigade station 1 City Dennis F49 (chassis 103-F49-3056/141) fleet 410 used as the "Flyer" 1972 The only one with Twin Sonic light bar
one of the first with reflective markings as well, "Flyer" had to be out the door in under 30 seconds.Rostered crew had "flying room" adjacent to appliance.Other Appliances included F44? "Second Call. and F44 "Runner" which "ran to major jobs in the greater Sydney area.I'm having a drive next week of my mates F44 Runner LOL
I think you will find this is a photo of the Runner, not the Flyer. The Flyer was the very first NSWFB appliance that trialled reflective tape, and was distinguished by white and red tape running along the side at the base (yellow and red everywhere else). The photo also shows her at the Runner engine bay door at the south of the station. Regards
