The license plate on that truck almost made me think that the photo was taken in Trinidad and Tobago, because the "TAF" is from around that time.

We are familiar with Dennis Eagle as a maker of bin lorries.

Eagle was originally an independent company in Warwick and they had a brief spell bodying fire engines. Then they were taken over by Hestair Dennis and production soon stopped.

They were mainly export driven but the first domestic order for Manchester dates from 1976

Rather practical bodywork, making full use of the factory cab doors, with nice headroom and those big curved windows to let in some light for the crew in the back seat. Not quite as elegant as the HCB Angus TKs, but arguably less expensive - and possibly a better design from a crew member's perspective.
