French fire services are increasingly adding yellow locker covers as an added way of identifying their vehicles, presumably as an effort to increase visibility and safety. I do wonder if these efforts have actually ever been objectively researched as to their real world effectiveness. Certainly the many different liveries used here in the US have not been. Nor has the trend in recent years in Germany to move from a national solid red with white bumpers and mudguards to another wide variety of shades, stripes, chevrons, logos, lettering and wraps. A few countries tend to still have a standardized approach. Obviously the VdF, but also most of the Scandinavian countries as well as Iberia and Greece. To my mind, this does seem more sensible.
