Designed in the UK but manufactured in France, these close cousins of the old Land Rover Defender are powered by a BMW engine and fill an off road utility role which is not really well served by the newer Defender design. For decades French fire services used a load of Defenders for brush fire command, but these are now replacing older ones, along with some 4X4 pickups. While less expensive, the pickups are not really quite as off road capable as the INEOS.
