Uncommonly rapid - but very little payload for useful rescue gear. Several fire services in Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland often operated Mercedes (Steyr) G Wagen jeeps in this kind of road accident rescue role too, but they were usually larger four door versions. American panel vans including Chevrolet, Dodge and GMC were also commonly used to attend traffic accidents in Belgium too, until more comprehensively equipped and larger road rescue trucks started to be introduced.
