The 1113 was an eleven ton chassis with a 130 BHP six cylinder diesel engine. This was an almost identical specification to the contemporary AEC Merryeather 100 foot (30metre) ladder. The only difference was that some of the British ladders had a pump too. This was a 450 GPM unit mounted behind the cab and powered by a separate BMC diesel engine, more commonly found in London taxis.
