Standard German city pumper until the replacement DIN LF16 was introduced. These were all conventional control bonneted chassis, mostly built on Mercedes. MAN, Magirus, Bussing, Faun or Henschel chassis. The big white front bumper marker “lollipops” were a feature of these designs, to remind drivers of the width of the vehicle they were driving. The acorn lights were probably not original, as earlier builds usually had only forward facing blue lights.
