Founded in Ohio in 1909, the Garford Motor Truck Company was the predecessor to Superior, which still exists as a bus and coach manufacturer. The chassis was highly regarded in its day and quite often used for fire pumpers, as exemplified by this well preserved unit. BTW American commercial vehicles were commonly right hand drive well into the twenties, so this truck did not need to have its steering wheel relocated!
