Very basic body because of wartime constraints, but I never understood why these had wheel spats like this. Lacking imagination, I just can’t see why they had this feature. There were no other efforts at style and I am unable to see any practical advantage, while it can’t have been a useful feature if the crew had to change a wheel or even just check tyre pressures. Anyone out there knows why?
