The use of identical standard production doors for both the front and rear reduces complexity and cost of providing a factory crew cab. One additional advantage is that this structure is small and light enough for an easy full tilt to access the engine, transmission and accessories. The principal disadvantages are the height and width limitations in the rear, as it must reflect the profiles of the standard driver’s cab.
