MAN 41.403 10x8 ALP - Taipas, Portugal

This huge MAN 41.403 10x8 Aerial Ladder Platform was built in 1997 for the Stuttgart Airport Fire Brigade in Germany, the Flughafenfeuerwehr Stuttgart. In 2018 it was purchased by the Bombeiros de Taipas in Portugal, having been refurbished.
Fitted with Bronto Skylift F54HDT booms (54 metres) it is one of the tallest aerial appliances in Portugal.
It had only been in service a matter of months when I photographed it back in 2018.

This is built on a custom chassis utilizing the MAN military contract cab. Not clear if it has three steering axles, but we should hope so!
