310[w]91 Ford Connect - SLRr - Warsaw, PolandA Ford Transit Connect/Frank Cars light rescue & reconnaissance (SLRr), stationed at the State Fire Service Fire and Rescue Unit 10 (JRG-10) in Warsaw (Białołęka district). The vehicle is used by a group dedicated to fighting dangerous insects.
*^*^*^*
One of the tasks of the Polish State Fire Service is removing the nests of dangerous insects, such as hornets, bees or wasps which pose a threat to humans (eg. in dwellings, public buildings, city parks). Every year, there is a large number of such interventions, especially during the summer months.
*^*^*^*
JRG-10 is one of the smallest fire stations in the Polish capital. Most of the area it covers is a quiet estate of single-family houses, therefore, the number of runs is not very high. There are 6-7 firefighters per shift (working in a 24/48 shift system).
The station building of JRG-10 is neither aesthetic, nor functional. Fortunately, a new station is going to be opened soon.
JRG-10 vehicels:
310-21: GLBAt 1/2,5 Renault Mascott (light rescue pump);
310-25: GCBA 5/32 MAN 4x4 (heavy pump/tanker);

310-90: SLOp Ford Focus (officer’s car);
310-91: SLRr Ford Transit Connet (auxiliary, ‘insect unit’);
