YAG470X RB44 Angloco RT Humberside
The Reynolds Boughton RB44 was developed from the Ford A series chassis into a 4x4 used for RIVs and RTs.Humberside painted their rescue tenders white at this period and had a couple of these, YAG470X and A319NRH both now on this site.

This 4X4 conversion suffered from some of the common problems of converted chassis. In this case, stability was seriously compromised, payloads were reduced quite a lot by the weight of the additional drive line components and the power train - never an A series strength - was rather marginal. Not surprisingly it was only built in very small numbers, as it was what we in Yorkshire used to describe as “ neither nowt nor summat”.
