On its way for service or repair - the Berlin Fire Brigade version of "not in service". This is one of the older rescue pumpers, probably recycled into service with one of the city's volunteer fire companies after around a dozen years at a front line full time fire station. The city has 34 full time stations as well as over 80 volunteer fire companies. Most large German cities follow the same format, issuing former full time fire station's rescue pumpers to volunteers, although some also buy a lot of new units for them too.
