Like the second series of RX 4X4 chassis, the TKM had dual rear wheels, which - although it did reduce true off road capabity a bit - had the enormous advantage of significantly increasing rear axle carrying capacity and the chassis total GVW.

Cambridge ran a similar tanker which I was told carried 1000 gallons of water (4500 litres). In places without hydrants or easy access to open water this would have been quite handy.
