Presumably the five axle configuration is required because of the weighty mid mounted crane, which is a rather unusual installation on a prime mover. These are usually only equipped with a hook and cable to load and unload the container.

This prime mover with crane is solely fitted with the rescue pod. The rig is called at the Basel FD Rüstwagen-Kranwagen / Crane Rescue
