I am not sure, but with the changing of the Commanding General every 2 years, some want leave their traces and footsteps in history! Lets wait and see!

Thanks! Changing the commanding officer seems like a good idea to inspire innovation and progress, but the flip side of the coin can be chaos - as illustrated by our politicians in so many cases in so many countri es.I wonder if the military " top down" command structure of BSPP allows the actual firefighters who perform the daily tasks of saving lives and property to contribute to design details on their vehicles and equipment? This team approach works very successfully in many fire departments here in the US. It has resulted in each fire company in FDNY - for example - having a lot of discretion in configuring and selecting equipment for their unit's own vehicle(s).
