This tracked remote control robot can handle water delivery volumes up to 2400 LPM. The manufacturer claims a throw range of up to 60 metres with water, and the system can be instantly switched to foam delivery, which reduces the effective range to a still rather impressive 35 metres. Powered by a 140 BHP Diesel engine, the design permits it to climb up to a 30 degree slope, and the combination of Its own weight and power can move obstacles out of its path, to permit deeper penetration into a burning structure.
It seems very similar to the unit operated by the BSPP to tackle the Notre Dame fire, after the potential for roof collapse led the incident commander to have his crews evacuate the floor levels.
According to the Jakarta fire service, which had recently bought one of these, it can push out of its way obstacles up to ten tons in weight, and is equipped with nine cameras, including infra red and heat sensing instruments. Various attachments can be added to it to facilitate a variety of rescues in situations where personnel cannot be inside a structure with the unit, and these are carried in the tender which transports the robot.
