These had a 1600LPM front mounted main pump - as seen here - and carried an 800LPM portable pump in a rear compartment. No water tank, but a large crew cab for nine. Kats (civil defense) pumpers continue this focus on water supply as their main concern, but are at the disposal of volunteer fire companies for daily firefighting duties as needed. They also carried a large hose load, with less equipment for rescues and general service alarm incidents than municipal and village pumpers.
