As indicated by its designation, these had a 1600 LPM pump and a 600 litre water tank. Many volunteer fire companies bought these, but quite a few specified a larger tank, as 600 litres did not go very far if a 52 mm first attack line flowing 400 LPM was deployed, and this was the usual SOP for any structure fire. The more recent DIN specification has been updated to provide for a 1000 litre tank, which is more adequate, especially if the unit has CAFS.
Rob, my mistake it's a LF10/6, 1000 LPM pump and a 600L water tank.

Both were physically identical, so it’s very easy to make that mistake! The big selling point was that they had a water tank, while the old preceding DIN specification LF 8 didn’t. As it turned out, this 600 liter tank did not provide much autonomy - which was incidentally the same problem the BSPP suffered with the old PS pump and ambulance combinations.
So now the replacement specification in both cases includes a 1000+ litre tank….
