BUX28 Albion pump Shropshire

Below there is a rear photo from Flickr where this has a Shropshire crest but I know little of its history

My photo appears to be after county service - did it go to works brigade? This guys appear not to be in standard uniforms.

This is an Albion SPKE127 with John Kerr bodywork. It was ordered by Wellington Rural District Council but was delivered to the National Fire Service in 1941. It was transferred to Bridgnorth and then sold by Shropshire to Robert Owen for their Kings Hill factory at Darleston. It was with the now defunct West Midlands Fire Engine Preservation Group. Not sure where it is now.

picture 43963 has a rear view of what seems to be a very similar pump.

Just a correction, it was sold to Rubery Owen and was based at their main factory, Victoria Works, Darlaston. I have a photograph of it with the rest of the works Fire Brigade, I will try to upload it.
