This photo demonstrates quite graphically just how big a 64 meter TL is, when it comes to seeing its footprint on the ground. It seems there are quite a lot of residential high rise structures in London where positioning these monsters would be very challenging. Kind of underlines that these are not a 100% solution to replace adequate building codes, with built in fire containment, suppression and evacuation precautions. Obviously useful when huge medieval structures like Norte Dame are burning, as it is impossible to make these types of structures more fire resistant, but retrofitting residential buildings is in practice often practical. It is just a lot more expensive than buying and staffing a few big ladder trucks.
